Hello and welcome to another Sunday morning :) I thought I would share the tools & techniques I turn to in order to make travelling (which is inherently physiologically and mentally stressful) a little more easeful for myself. I’ll emphasize that this is all done with a small budget in mind – as someone who left the world of paid vacation years ago, I am extra cognizant of how I spend money when I travel, while maintaining a feeling of taking care. I find joy in cultivating micro moments of “luxury” for myself, even if I am travelling economy and can’t justify investing in a facial or massage post flight. This past trip Toronto was centered around spending quality time with my folks, but I also wanted to inject a feeling of “being on vacation” without breaking the bank. I also have to be extra focused on not allowing travel to drain me, since I am usually flying home and teaching one or more classes the following day. So let’s dive in!
